About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cable Percussion Drilling team ( Cable Percussion Lead Driller & 2nd Man) to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining cable percussion drilling rigs on a variety of sites, undertaking ground investigations and geotechnical sampling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining cable percussion drilling rigs, including mobilization and demobilization.
- Conducting drilling operations in accordance with site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
- Collecting soil and rock samples for laboratory testing.
- Maintaining accurate records of drilling activities, including borehole logs and sample information.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Working effectively as part of a team.
- Liaising with site engineers and clients.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any on-site issues.
- Maintaining company vehicles and equipment. Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Cable Percussion Drilling (minimum 3 years)
- Valid CSCS cards.
- Full UK driving license (preferably with C1/C endorsement).
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Land Drilling or equivalent qualification (Essential).
- Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret site drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience with other drilling techniques (e.g. Sonic, rotary drilling, window sampling).
- First Aid certification.
- Experience working in confined spaces.
