Cable percussion drilling is a versatile and cost-effective solution for achieving typical borehole depths of up to 60 meters in suitable ground conditions.
It is a very common method across the UK and therefore is arguably most used across the various geotechnical sites within the UK.
our crew & process
Crews consist of two fully NVQ trained operatives, one a lead driller and the other a support operative. In addition, operatives also have various certifications such as SSSTS, cable avoidance, first aid etc.
A crew consisting of two operatives arrive with an appropriate rig, tooling, casing and consumables required to achieve depth and installation requirements etc.
BESPOKE - EXPERIENCED -FLEXIBLE
The rig is typically towed into position via a 4×4, the rig is then via an electronic winch erected into the correct position of the borehole, hand pitting is also done prior to avoid any potential service disruption.
At Borehole Solutions Limited our fleet of Cable Drilling rigs, are widely used on various public, private and governmental construction projects.
Each crew typically also carries with them a tablet and mobile printer, so that logging can be performed on site, we can provide logging in PDF and AGS format for importation into systems such as Holebase etc.
